The homeowner called after wastewater began backing up through the outside drain and the fixtures inside the home were draining slowly. Our plumber carried out a CCTV inspection and found heavy tree-root intrusion inside the existing clay sewer line.
The roots were cut and cleared from the pipe, removing the immediate obstruction and restoring flow through the sewer. A final camera inspection confirmed the line was running freely and identified the damaged section for future repair.

HEAT-PUMP HOT WATER UPGRADE
The home’s ageing electric storage hot water system was becoming unreliable, and the owners wanted a more efficient replacement. After checking the existing plumbing and available installation space, we recommended a heat-pump hot water system.

Most Engadine housing between the station and the highway was built in the 1950s and 60s with terracotta sewer lines. That’s 60–70 years of ground movement, offset joints and root ingress. Recurring blockages here are almost never a one-off — they’re a symptom the line needs attention.
